Subject: Amps - Mic Up or Line Out?

I have a 50-watt Marshall amp (all-tube) which I'd like to use for some
medium-size venues. Do you think I should mic up the amp or use the line-out
jack socket to hook up to the PA? I know that a mic will give me a better
sound, but I'm worried about feedback. Presumably the line-out will still
take my sound through the tube pre-amp, so I shouldn't lose too much of my
"tubey" sound.

Alternatively, I could get an extension speaker for the Marshall and point
it straight at the audience, which hopefully would reduce the risk of
feedback.

I'd appreciate any advice you guys can give me. I've been playing live harp
for many years, but have always played through the PA in the past.

Cheers
