hey brother grimm:

i e-mailed a vendor about the danelectro amp you mentioned in your post. it
is called the "nifty fifty" and looks vintage enough to attract the man with
the world's largest two tone shoe collection (that would be me - at the
moment i'm wearing my black and brown spats). the vendor says there is no
info available as the product is too new for them to have brochures.
hmmmmmmm. apparently it's not too new for them to be offering the beast on
their web site. he did say, however, that it is a solid state amp with a
6.5" speaker. no word yet on power rating, but i can't imagine it would be
much with that small a speaker at $129 list price. maybe the fifty is just
there to rhyme with nifty, in which case it could as well have been called
the tutti frutti....
