Subject: Acoustic Processor

I play a lot of acoustic gigs, and up until now have been playing thru
a PA mic and enduring whatever the sound man chooses to throw at me.
I just got one of the Honker ring mics and am very happy with the quality
of the acoustic sound. However, it's a high-impedance mic which means
I can't plug it into most DI boxes.

What I'd like is a setup that would let me operate like a guitarist --
walk on stage, plug in, and play. I'm looking at a few acoustic processors
like the Boss AD-5 but I'm not clear from the literature whether they
will do impedance matching -- ie, make it so I can plug my high-impedance
mic into the unit and then into the PA, and get good sound.

Anyone know more about these or have other suggestions for doing this?

thanks
Ken
