Hi All, I received this little note from Richard on some interesting harp recordings available. Enjoy! ********************
This is to give notice to the list-at-large that the first two compact disc releases from Pneuma Musik will be back from the production company in the end of March. I have a few advance copies to send to some individuals as well as to various locations for review et cetera.
Pneuma Musik is a record company devoted entirely to recordings of harmonica and harmonica-centred music. Submissions and queries are always welcomed and most assuredly encouraged.
At the end of March will be available:
Pauline Bubelt: Early Klezmer Harmonica
which is composed of remasterings of 20 78rpm sides pressed in Bukowina earlier this century and which serve as excellent examples of Klez, the extraodinary form of eastern-european jewish music played by Pauline Bubelt here on the harmonica.
Harmonikoo Richard Weintrager
a collection of 18 tunes traipsing through the forms and modal-systems found throughout the Carpathian mountains and eastern-europe; with a strong focus of the klezmer form, there is no lack of other traditions represented, including 3 Ukrainian lightning-kolomeikas.
I will keep everybody up to date on these two releses as well as what new projects are on the go. Again, all submissions and queries are very much welcomed. All the best. Richard - pneumamus~otmail.com
