I posted the attached on Saturday, but it bounced back to me, and hasn't appeared since, even though there have been 3 digests since. No doubt it will show up in the same digest as this repost. Sorry, if that is the case, but I do want to get the update on Pete out to everyone.

Some good news on Pete's status:
He is getting better every day, and has started physical therapy to get him moving.
It has been suggested that people continue sending cards and letters rather than fruit or flowers or other perishables or things that take up space because the rooms are very small at the hospital, and he will be moving from one to another as he improves. Possibly 3 to 4 moves in all - - so anything sent to him will have to be moved from place to place.
Also, regarding the cards and letters - we are suggesting they be of the funny or comical variety, which is in keeping with Pete's personality. Keep it light, and refrain from references of "lighting candles for him" or "praying for him". Even though these thoughts are natural and sincere, and meant to be encouraging for him, his needs are more on the lighter side of sympathy. The more serious actions of candles and prayer are definitely needed and appreciated as a part of everyone's concern and personal thoughts for his recovery, so please do not stop those acts of love in the privacy of your own realm.
In a couple of days or so, we will publish a new address to which cards and letters may be sent. He will still not be able to receive calls, and will probably be unable to for a good while - the important thing is that he is improving daily.
We appreciate the cooperation of all, and Pete most assuredly appreciates the love and concern shown by his "millions" of friends around the world. We are confident he will continue to improve, to a complete recovery, and bounce back as he has done before.
