Subject: Astatic element question

I have an old astatic mic (not a JT-30, a similar shape with the connector on
a swivel) that has an MC 563 element. I haven't tried it years since their is
no connector on the mic but think it works. Is this a crystal or cermaic
element? Good for harp?
