If I remember correctly a fill or two during the vocals was played on a
Bb harp in 3rd position. Years ago I used to play the song in a band I
was in, I found that I could cop the solo pretty well by just using an F
diatonic where Norton used the F and Eb and then switching to a "C" Koch
chromatic (or Slide Harp could be used) where he played the C and C#
harps. It didn't sound exactly the way Norton did it, but since I found
it so hard to pull off the four harp switch smoothly, it probably
sounded better than mixing up or dropping harps while trying to switch
them. Either way its a great solo and worth trying to sit down and
master.
