Subject: Bending - what makes one harp easy, and another difficult?

I just got a Lee Oskar tool kit recently, which got me tinkering with my
harps. I managed to cobble together an MS Blues Harp in A from my A and G
which both had problems of some sort.

I haven't had an A blues harp in action for some time, and my only A harp
has been my lone Lee Oskar.

Inevitably, this got me comparing the two.

One thing I noticed was that the draw bend 4 on the LO was much more awkward
than on the BH. Is this because of something that isn't set up properly on
the LO, or is there some difference in the construction of the reeds that
helps/hinders bending?

Richard.
