My problem has always been leaky Marine Bands, yet I have not read anything on the Harp-L on sealing them. Does anyone know if the milipore attached to the comb works good on a MB. I am thinking of trying this along with screws and bending the read plates to apply more pressure down on the comb. > >Thanks for any help. Bart Hi ....sounds like you have the same situation with harps as I do..For me the micropore tape on marine bands is perfect..I did use screws on some, but just went back to the nails, and they work just fine..To me its not worth putting all the time and work into a harp that I will kill in a month or two any way...with the tape and sgueezeing the plates back on with a vise is good to go....becarefull though if you try the vise,, you must get everything lined up perfect.and be gentle...some marine bands I get , I dont do anything to.just the bad leakers and ones that have difficult draw reeds....Ron http://members.aol.com/harp1119/harp.html
