Subject: Bassman modifications, yet again

The standard Kinder mod gives a sound like Rod but will not make the amp
less loud. Kinder does a variety of modifications, and can employ a 5Y3
rectifier tube which would reduce power and presumably the volume.

This will provide compressed tone at a lower volume. Other amps like a
Silvertone 1481, Premier Twin 8 or Kalamazoo Model One have better harp
tone than a Champ to my ear, and might be better choices as a master amp.
