Be assured the Hering Charlie Musselwhite 7148 Chromatic is not "the
same as the 501 but costs twice as much."

You are correct in that the 7148 has a machined acrylic comb, as opposed
to the 5158 Chromatic, which has the black ABS plastic comb. This in
itself makes it worth more, BUT... the 7148 reed plates are chrome
plated, and are also has thicker than the 5148 model.

The reason Richard Farrell has been telling this untruth about the 7148,
can only be conjecture, but he has been doing so ever since the 7148 was
introduced. It is fact he wishes to not carry the 7148, but they are
available through Harp City, Harp Depot, Joe's Virtual Music, and
Elderly Instruments.

The full retail price on the 5148 is $85.95, while the price of the 7148
is $105.95. "Twice as much"???
