Subject: Re: Hering Black Blues

Hering has switched from a black paint for the Black Blues to a "black
chrome" process. This makes them feel very smooth and slippery, just like
the regular chrome-plated Hering Blues covers. Also, the shiny black
metalic look of them is an improvement too, IMO. I would guess that one of
the reasons they switched was because of a tendancy of black paint on the
covers to chip or wear with time, a problem which has not happened with my
"black chrome"-plated BBs.
