There's a lot to be said for having multiple amps. I keep a small
(tweed champ), medium (GA40), and large (Sonny Jr. ) amp handy. In
addition to being able to select the right power for the room, each
amp also have a different sound, so I can pick an amp to suit my mood
or the style of the band I'm playing with. And you should never
underestimate the importance of having a backup in case of
failure/theft/spontaneous combustion.

BBB

(and yes, one of my amps did once burst into flame during a gig)
