Subject: Re: Keb Mo

Opened-up for Kevin Morre a few years
backnow ina little space in Montreal.
Warm, friendsome smiling-boy demeanor
witha whole lot of basic, clean work
on the harp and guitar.

Although I've always found his harp-work
to be straightforward moan-supplement to
his singing and guitar the harping's
certainly competent, warm and strangely
(per haps TOO much so) entirely familiar
in that predictable kindof way.

In the past few years I can't even
bring myself to listen-through a single
track of anything he's recorded. He's
gone the commercial-way, that's for
certain. Still, a fine and friendly
player, some predictable but always
exciting slide-work on his guitars.

You'll enjoy the show, the man, if he's
not dragging his new, sorry-ass, band
alongwith him. Great live solo acoustic
blues blade, Keb Mo is. A man that
plays music like he can just doesn't
need a band; it just brings the boy
down; in my humble ole solo-strike
opinion. Enjoy the show in AK City.

Richard -
