I have a red Boss pedal (the analog one), but have never been really able to
get the sound out of it I want. Perhaps that's my fault, but you asked for
advise, so that's what I know. It works fantastic for guitar, however. (I
don't use it so much for definable echo, but as a vaguely slappy reverb.)
