Well Greg, first of all, "they" would like to sell you an amp. I wouldn't accept
it as fact that you won't grow out of the Jansen. I doubt if there are many on
this list who've been playing electric harp for very long that are still blowing
through their first amp. Definitely try it, see how you like it, but don't
commit to the purchase without comparing it with other rigs first. Try several,
and go back to compare and contrast how they sound and feel to you. You've
waited this long so it's worth hanging on a little longer while you take the
time to hunt down an amp that you'll really feel good about. And even when you
find it, I'll wager it won't be your last amp.

And as far as a mic goes, as many on this list have attested to (and I'm one of
them) you can't go wrong with a Ruskin. For price vs. quality, they're pretty
hard to beat. Even with shipping fees to NZ you're gonna get a *much* better
deal than $160.00 U.S. for the mic. Put the $$ you save toward your amp. You can
contact Frank Ruskin at micdad~cia.com. HTH.
