Subject: Canned Heat

Sorry, you misunderstood me. I Said:

It seems like the entire British invasion had harp players - The Yardbirds,
Them, the Beatles, the Who, and a couple of other groups around Mayall and
Canned Heat; sorry I can't remember, but I inhaled.

You said:

Canned Heat mentioned in the same sentence with the phrase British
Invasion? I don't think so and Alan Wilson's subjectively a much better
harmonica player than even Magic Dick. I can't tell you the last time I
pulled out my old vinyl of Full House, Uncanned's in my CD player on a
regular basis. I own absolutely no Bluestime and if J. Geils came to
town I'd most likely skip the show. Diversity in the marketplace, it
keeps things interesting. fjm

I meant:

I remember seeing all these groups live (except the Beatles) and there were
a couple of other groups that hung around Canned Heat and John Mayall, that
is to say they played on the same show or at the same club or festival like
the Blues Festival in Frankfurt, Germany in 69 and 70 where I was stationed
in the Army. I did not mean Canned Heat and you are right, the harp
playing on Canned Heat is not to put into the dabblers category.

Harmonically yours,

BONFIGLIO
