Subject: Re: Digital Pedal

Save yourself the time and trouble of messing with digital delay pedals.
Nine time out of ten, you won't be happy with the sound. I've tried quite a
few digital delay pedals, DOD,Boss, etc. The digital pedals sound way too
harsh and "sterile" (for lack of a better word) for playing harp. If you
want that Chicago, nasty, blues sound--the best route for playing harp is
definitely an analog delay pedal. The analog pedals don't have as many
feautures as digital pedals, but sometimes "less is more". I use an ancient
Electra analog delay pedal that I found in a pawn shop for $20, which sounds
wonderful. I have heard good things about the Boss DM-2, and the Danelectro
Dan-Echo. If you get into a rack mount unit, it's a different story as far
as digital goes. Alesis has some great sounding 1/3 rack size verb/delay
units, such as the Nanoverb, and the older Microverb.
