Subject: Re: Ain't the right Henry?

Thanks for the Henry Vestine info Tim.

Henry Vestine is not widely acknowleged as a "great" guitarist, but I have
always respected the fact that he had his own sound. Henry was one of
those guitarists that you only needed to hear a few notes before you knew it
was him! Also Henry had his own sound before Jimi Hendrix became dominant.
And while Henry certainly felt the competition from Jimi he stuck to his own
concept of electricity - - "buzz awhile Henry!"

My favorite Henry Vestine recorded moment: just before his solo in
Amphetamine Annie where Bob "The Bear" Hite and the band shout "SPEED
KILLS!" and then as an aside Hite asks "Ain't that right Henry?" to which
Vestine reluctantly admits "well, maybe so" :>
