Blue Cat Blues Commerce St Deep Ellum June 3 - 8:30pm
The fourth installment of this event--a sellout and huge success each of the three prior outings--will take place at Blue Cat Blues on Commerce St. in Deep Ellum this Thursday night, June 3rd. Show starts promptly at 8:30pm
This year's show promises to be the best yet, with Sam Myers headlining a listing of Dallas' and Texas' finest players. Also appearing will be Jerl Welch, just back from a bluegrass/gospel tour of California, Randy McAllister (two CDs out on JSP), the Dallas Harmonica Trio (a SPAH hit last year), Hash Brown with 12 year-old guitar sensation Andrew Baxter Jr. (Hash's band is the house group, and the event is a benefit for the Andrew Baxter fund, named Jr.'s father who passed away tragically last year), Sonny Boy #2 stylist John Moschioni and Paul Harrington, who can cover jazz, rock and blues and is undoubtedly one of the finest players in Texas. Big Sam Myers will close the show.

The Harmonica Masterclass Workshop is proud to announce its 1999 artist staff. Artists teaching seminars and performing at the Legends Of The Blues Harmonica concert are: Magic Dick, Jerry Portnoy, Howard Levy, Gary Primich, Lee Oskar, Andy Santana, Gary Smith, Byrde Hale, and David Barrett.
The bands performing at the Legends Of The Blues Harmonica will be Lee Oskar's group and Andy Santana's West Coast Playboys featuring Jr. Watson. The concert has been moved to the newly renovated Montgomery Theater. The seats are plush and the hall sounds great! The Montgomery Theater only seats 500 guarantying the most intimate Legends Of The Blues Harmonica concert ever.
A new addition to the Masterclass weekend are the Friday technical workshops. These classes are hands-on and are limited to thirty people per workshop.
