Subject: CAD Microphones

Has anyone had any experience of the CAD HM50/HM50VC microphone?
Visit http://www.cadmics.com/handhelds.htm to see it.

It seems most of you use the bullet, Astatic or Ruskin. Anyone compared
these? (To each other or to the CAD?) The CAD is somewhat cheaper than
a green bullet, but I have no idea of which one is best. I don't have
the possibility to try them out before buying either.

If more money gets me what I want I don't mind paying extra, but I do try
to keep down cost that isn't motivated by a better product.

The sound I'm after is the electric Chicago blues sound. (Pretty original,
huh? ;-) ) So far I've been using an SM-58 on a stand and a full-range
mixer/amp (not trying to sound electric.)

Thanks for your advice.
/Daniel

BTW, are there any faqs for this list that I should read?
