The Har-Monica was invented in 1940, in a seaside town in Somerset, UK, by a pair of pensioners named Harry and Monica, when a stray German bomb knocked their local air raid siren out of shape. I thought everybody knew that. Interestingly, Harry and Monica's bungalow was also called Har-Monica. As was their car. As was their dog. As was their tandem cycle.
