Subject: Breaking in harps

I wish I had the patience to break in harps, but I don't. I've assumed that
the logic behind it was molecular alignment, kind of like "pinging" iron
after a weld. Since I figured that was the case, I've always assumed that is
was a very minor effect, given the size of any of the harp parts, so I never
payed it much mind. The only thing I ever do is chord-blow in and out once
or twice across the whole harp(Maybe 2 seconds worth). So the question I am
posing(and it's been brought up before) to those in the Physics know, What
are the effects(in terms of Physics) of breaking in a harp. Also what period
of time are we talking. Again I figured 2 seconds. I know we have some
harp-lers with more Physics than me.(Hey I only minored in it). My
assumption is that the only thing we don't want to do with a new harp is
bends and overblows.
