All this talk about shellacing the RI Bassman has always made me wonder..............Did they improve the qualities of shellac recently or is everyone doing this to young to have seen old shellac? I won't get myself to shellac a good amp just because the lifespan of shellac isn't that great and it looks sooooooo bad after it cracks and flakes. It seems shellacing a pourous material would be worse. Add environmental conditions and lookout..........................Anyone seen a shellaced amp after 5-10 years???? Do they hold up????
