The 2nd Annual Covina Bluesapalooza Festival is sponsored by the Covina Cultural Arts Commision. The festival runs from noon to 8:30 PM at seven venues located in Covina's Historic Downtown. Covina is located 20 miles East of Los Angeles in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley nestled between the 10 and 210 Freeways. Over a dozen performers are scheduled for this years event. This years headliner is Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers, winner of the 1999 W.C. Handy Blues Award - Blues Band of the Year. The other performers include Tom Ball and Ken Sultan, Johnny Dyer, Stan West Band, Ramona Smith, Doug MacLeod and Juke Logan, and BJ Sharp.
Tickets are $20 each and provide access to all venues. Purchase tickets by telephone with a credit card by calling the Covina Valley Playhouse at (626) 339-5135.
Little T, from the Paul Oscher Blues band is throwing a blues party every Sunday night at Josie Woods Pub (11 Waverly Pl. at Mercer St. in Greenwich Village.) Music starts at 8pm. The musicians include Joe Giacona (drums), Brad Vickers (bass), {whose resume includes Chuck Berry, Jimmy Rodgers, Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Little Mike and the Tornadoes, Paul Oscher and countless others}, Jim Davis (Tenor Sax), {seasoned in Boston Strip clubs, also from Paul's Band}, and Little T (guitar, vocals, harmonica, piano) who is a full time member of The Paul Oscher Blues Band and also works with Hubert Sumlin (Howlin Wolf) and Jimmy Vivino of the Conan O'Brian show. If you don't know Paul, he was the first white musician in the great Muddy Waters Band (67-72), very very heavy cat. He plays what musicians wish they could play.
Special guests are invited. They are high profile and I cant make any promises so they remain nameless. Come Sunday and find out who they are. We are trying to put some life into the fading NYC blues scene, come Sunday Oct 24 &31 to hear the real s**t from real musicians.

Glenn is a three-time author of the harmonica and has been teaching and performing music full time for over twenty years. He has transcribed over seventy (70!) Little Walter songs, becoming one of the foremost experts on teaching the stylings of Little Walter. I am very excited to say that he will be one of the best clinicians that the Masterclass will ever have.
