I got my 59RI back fro the tech yesterday,and this is what he did to it: Paper-interleaved transformer Adjustable bias pot Weber P10R speakers Tung-Sols 5U4 Rectifier I have been experimenting with every tube imagineable,and the most earth-shaking tone is when I put 12AX-7's accross the board,this seems to bring out the best in this particular amp,my 55' has the same set-up and that is a killer amp.I use a volumne control on the mic and that nixes the feed-back problem,volumne was on 4 the whole time I was experimenting.The second-best set-up was((right to left) 12AT7,12AX7,12AU7.I tried all the set-ups from the archives I been collecting since the amps' been down and this is the one for me.
