Subject: A Diatonic Guy Wants To Know

I have a Huang 1248 in C. It plays tolerable well. I've only ever used it
for the fun of learning jazz "heads" and on rare sessions where I was
handed a scored to read badly.

This is my very diatonic-guy kind of question: Is there a key that lays
particularly well on the C chrom that would be a good starting point for
learning to play jazz?
