Subject: 3rd position minor thirteenth chord?

Having just purchased a 16 hole Herring chromatic, I've been surprised
at how easily my third position diatonic play translates to the
chromatic. I had no idea I'd be able to pick this thing up and play it
right off, but I was playing along with G. Smith's "Blues in the Dark"
in no time.

Then I came across a passage from a blues harmonica essay in the All
Music Guide to the Blues. It reads as follows: "The hallmark of third
position is a very unusual and jazzy minor thirteenth chord with added
eleventh that is produced when the holes are drawn."

Can anyone tell me what holes he refers to? And whether this is a
reference to a chord available on both diatonic and chromatic? Can
anyone point to recorded examples of this chord?

Thanks,
Neal Walker
