Subject: A Very Joe-Y Christmas

Dear List:

A couple of days ago I got a package in the mail . . . TEN Filiskos!!!

They are the composite wood combs with the Special 20 coverplate
setup that I've grown to favor . . . They come wrapped in wax paper
in the boxes. I've only opened 6 in two days as I'm just savoring
each one. The only reason I opened 3 of them is because I've got a
session tonight and I figured I'd better check them out to see whether
I should use 'em or not. Looks like I'm going to have to . . .

Joe sands the posts between the holes so there are no sharp edges.
They are really light, yet have a really big sound. They of course
overblow really smoothly. I'm especially enjoying the G harp
right now.

Joe says that they are the best harps he's ever made . . . which
I'm sure is true-until he sends his next shipment out of course . . .
