Re: News from Suzuki

New is the 'Overdrive harp" which should be available from
end of Feb.
specially designed to make overblow and overdraw easier (according

to written information received)

To which Turbodog cannot restrain from announcing, "Oh yeah?"
"Well look out, Suzuki, because the 'TurboHarp' (TM) is in its
final phases of development. Newly engineered reeds, reed plates
and comb with US Patent pending." Take that. And that! Pttttthhhh.
(sp?)

To tell you the truth, Norman's announcement really ruined Turbo's
day. Been "working" on this harp design for, arguably, five years
now, and have *finally* built a prototype that works as hoped.
What a drag.

If you, my fellow harp-l'ers, really cared about ol' Turbodog,
you would boycott the Suzuki and wait for the US-Made TurboHarp to
hit the newstands ;-)

Seriously though, I wish them well. But I hope we can get the
TurboHarp produced for a reasonable price and make it available
soon for you all to try. Then I guess American capitalism will
decide if we can hold our own. (After all, look how we've done
with VCR's and automobiles!)

whimper, whimper,

a dejected Turbodog
