I have a couple of Shure 545s that I recently purchased.. While I like the sound from both, I have had a problem with the end of the mic moving around and making a clunking noise thru the amp. I have tried different ways of holding it, and admittedly, I'm used to bullet-type mics that are much easier to wrap my hands around. But this one, esp the one with the pistol shaped stand adaptor still connected, seems hard to get a grip one, so to speak. Anyone on the list had this problem? I thought aobut just wrapping duct tape or some such around the end piece so it doesn't move, but I hate to mess up a vintage mic. I'm open to any solutions. Thanks Steve "Moandabluz" Webb a fool for the harp
