Subject: Re:bendability followup

hey guys,

if part of what makes a not bendable is the difference in pitch between
the draw and blow tones of a single hole, then how is it one can still bend
notes on valved/discreet combed harps? (or conversely, if you can bend a
draw note on say, a discreet comb -- independent of the blow reed -- then
why does it matter on a regular diatonic what pitch the blow reeds are
relative to the draws...)
and by the way, anyone out there recommend (or not) discreet combs?

thanks in advance,
--Moj
