Just a quick note in appreciation of all contributors....
I just bought a Bassman - WOW what a sound.
Searching the archives I got heaps of info about how to set it up with preamp subs, most appropriate rectifier and bridging between the two volume channels.
With just these three mods the amp has gone from sounding pretty good (at the store) to sounding like a harp monster amp (band practice)
Thanks to the generosity of the list members and the spirit of sharing that pervades the list I've set up one of the best sounding amps I've heard and it took very little time. This is a truly great list.
