Hello Rob,
I thank you most kindly for this post; it told me concisely about two topics
of great interest to me now, ballads on the chromatic and learning them
through a computerized slowdown process. I always enjoy your posts, so
thanks, but especially for this one. If you have a moment sometime, would
you explain why "Sophisticated Lady" (one of only about 12 ballads my group
currently plays--with me on the 64) is so important -- aside than that it
lays out so well in Fm, relative minor of button-in second position (ahem)
and G (straight second). I would sincerely appreciate any suggestions ("man
in a restaurant, is that really all you want?"--what harmonic changes, eh?).
Also, I have a 28k moden with a pentium one, standard 4 year old computer
with no added memory and very few programs (but a D drive and speakers) Too
small for Band in a Box? Mil gracias.
All the Best in Life,
Dan Todd
The Tube Radio Orchestra
p.s. Great list of ballads...
