Subject: Better Days

I put it on last night after years of not listening to it. I realize I had
learned at least half the solos on it. Butter was one of my first big
heroes. But two things really stand out for me.
First-the music get more layered every chorus. Every chorus there is a new
instrument coming in until finally it has come from a laid back greasy
groove
into an intense powerhouse of a tune. This happens on nearly every tune!
Second, the harp, and the other instruments too, are very good at creating
what I refer to as "music"... it is not about showing off the harp. I
normally only see this style of playing with "lesser" harp players who
CANNOT
show off.
Anyway, it all just about makes me cry.
