I hope we all appreciate what this means to the whole harmonica community.
Anytime someone with the status of Mr. Bolcom writes music for an individual
instrument it serves to legitimize the instrument in the minds of many. This
is another great step forward to having the harmonica included in school
bands throughout the USA and the world. It is another step toward having
harmonica music noticed and played more often by mainstream radio stations.

We owe a debt of gratitude to Mr. Bonfiglio for his work and dedication in
bringing the harmonica to the classical world. A while ago there was a
thread regarding influential players. Robert Bonfiglio has just risen
another notch on my list. Thank you, Robert!
