Hi folks, It is official... the Blues Cruise is officially back, scheduled for Jan. 27 - Feb. 3, 2002. After a lengthly delay, someone has finally picked up the ball and arranged this awesome event.
Here's the lineup:
Taj Mahal The Fabulous Thunderbirds Ike Turner Lil' Ed and the Blues Imperials Reverend Billy C. Wirtz John Mooney James Armstrong Chubby Carrier Bernard Allison Shemekia Copeland and (drum roll please...) Charlie Musselwhite!!
Seven days, eleven bands, "oceans" of music on the high seas. The ship leaves from Tampa, FLA, goes to Costa Maya, Mexico, then to Jamaica (somewhere), then to Gran Caman. Along with the scheduled appearances of each artist, there will be numerous jam sessions throughout the cruise.
