Hi everybody! Recently my best mate(wife) and I travelled to Germany and as well as having a delightful time staying with our german friends we visited the Hohner factory(de fabrique). Gerhard Muller went to the trouble of showing us around and we were able to see how the marine bands and M.S.harmonicas are made. This was a real pilgramage for me as I have been playing their harps exclusively for 35 years.I also make my living customising Hohner harps . The World Harmonica Festival is being held in Trossingen in October and I'll be there. This means two trips to Germany this year and I feel like a real jet setter. When we arrived back home I received a letter informing me that I had been granted a Churchill Fellow ship to come to America next year to meet with other harp enthusiasts and pro players to discuss the modifications that I am performing on the diatonics.I would be pleased to hear from anyone who would like to see my work.I will post a detailed Itinery on harp-l within the next couple of months and will make every effort to meet folks who make contact with me prior to the trip.I will be at the Buckeye fest in April so maybe some of you will be there.Naturally this is very exciting for me and I would like to thank the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust for making a dream come true. Please feel free to email me here at home or visit my webpage www.jimconway.sydney.net/neilgraham.htm Neil
