Greetings harp-l people

This is NOT a cross posting, even
though it may look like it. I will
change the greetings, but the rest
will be much the same. This is some
info about what’s happening in this
part of the world in about one years
time.

BALTIC - NORDIC HARMONICA
FESTIVAL
and competition for harmonica
players
BALTIC - NORDIC OPEN 2002

The festival takes place from July
26th - 28th in Pärnu, Estonia.
The competition for harmonica
players BALTIC - NORDIC OPEN
2002 will be one important part of the
festival and the winner of each
category will obtain the title of Baltic -
Nordic Champion.
The festival and competition will be
held at the Pärnu theatre ”Endla”
which has 550 seats for audience
and has also other suitable services
for performers and guests.
In the programme of the festival will
be workshops, jam sessions,
open-air concerts, gala concert and
also entertaining trips to the country
and island (plans in detail available
by mail, IHO newsletter and Internet).
We will be happy to welcome
professional and amateur
harmonica players all over the world
together with their families and
friends. In addition to the festival you
will have the opportunity to see one
of the most well-known summer
resorts among Nordic countries.

Accommodation: prices in hotels 25 -
75 EUR (depending on the
conveniences), villas about 150 EUR
per night, there are also camping
and caravan parks for reasonable
prices. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO
BOOK IN ADVANCE !
There are flights from all major cities
to the capital of Estonia, Tallinn.
>From there there is a bus trip of 130
kilometers to the south. There is also
an airport in Pärnu, charter flights
can be arranged to land there.
You can also come from Rostock,
Stockholm or Helsinki to Tallinn by
ship or from Germany through
Poland and Baltic countries (from
Berlin to Pärnu 900 km).
The organiser of the festival is The
Piccolo Harmonica Club (Pärnu,
Estonia) and Mr. Pentti Varkila (the
vice-president of IHO, Finland).
