Subject: Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey

Recently the Bravo channel has been showing "Bill Wyman's Blues Odyssey".
(Check your
local listings, but I'm sure there's at least one more showing coming up
soon.)

THIS IS AN AMAZING SHOW!! Two hours of footage from Bill Wyman's personal
collection
of rare blues film, video and vinyl. Here's just some of the amazing
performance
footage I recall:

T-Bone Walker
John Lee Hooker
Sonny Boy Williamson
Howlin Wolf
B.B. King
Muddy Waters
Ledbelly
Lonnie Donegan
Bessie Smith
Big Bill Broonzy
Jimmy Reed
Lightnin Hopkins
Buddy Guy
Rolling Stones
Yardbirds
Eric Clapton
Chuck Berry

Plus detailed audio segments and discussions on

Robert Johnson
Son House
Blind Lemon Jefferson
Charley Patton
Elmore James
Elvis Presley
Taj Mahal

And so many many more I can't even begin to recall. You just gotta see it!
The show is two hours long and they save a lot of the best for last. Bill
Wyman was a
gracious and knowledgeable host as he interviewed Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy,
Muddy Water's
son, B.B. King and many others. Much of the show was filmed on location
from the
Mississippi delta to Chicago to England with very high production values.
Obviously
this was a labor of love by Bill Wyman and we're lucky he can afford to
collect all
this rare video and vinyl and that he wants to share it with the world.

I couldn't believe that fantastic T-Bone Walker footage! I wish I had a
copy of that
whole concert! Also incredible were John Lee Hooker and Howlin Wolf in the
late
1960's!
And of course beautiful color film of the EARLY Rolling Stones when they
were primarily
a blues band.

Thank you Mr. Wyman!
