Subject: Big Bill Clarke's Work Song

Something about that song's been always
striking to me, but I couldn't find what.
I am happy to say that I finally saw it!
In this very rendition of work song
there lies the funkiest jazz harp I've ever heard
that falls within the Wes Mongomery jazz guitar sound
as opposed to the Toots mellow , ethereal
harmonica that fits best in the "other" guitar
sound , IMHO , like Herb Ellis or
Barney Kessel's for instance.

The way William Clarke plays this piece could very well
be an inspiration for a new sound in jazz harp.
I for one have yet to hear a jazz harmonica
that sounds like this.

Just a thought.
