Subject: About F. & R. Farrell Company...

I heard about Farrell company on this list and everyone seems to speak
highly of them so I thought I would check them out. The reed replacement rig
really caught my eye but they only have a cheezy drawing of it instead of a
photo. Since the cost of this rig is pretty high I called their 800 number
to get some more info. The first time I called I got a woman who couldn't
answer my questions and told me to "...call back when Mr. Farrell is in."
Well I couldn't call back again that day so I tried another day and got
another woman who couldn't answer my question but took my phone number and
said that she would return my call with the info...2 days have come and gone
and no call. The question was quite simple. I asked whether the rig would
work with Lee Oskar reedplates. I mean, they are thicker and the punch on
the contraption seems to be tapered...

Can anyone tell me whether this company is reliable to do business with? Is
this rig worth the money (is it sturdy, will it last, etc...) and can it
remove and insert reeds on Lee Oskar reed plates? Additionally, does anyone
know where you can get extra rivets in case you can't re-use the one you
removed???
