- --part1_111.84fafb7.2922a6d0_boundary
Greetings fellow Harp-L cats, I would like to alert your attention to an amp that will be for sale very soon. I don't know how many of you play on E-bay, but it is a fun thing to do and a good source for finding amps, mics, speakers and other vintage stuff. Well, I invite you to check out E-bay seller "JOHHN" (no typo) His name is Sonny Jr. I happen to know that he is putting up his personal gigging amp very soon. It's a 4X10 Bassman set up. Here's the description of it:
1. It has tags for the volume, treble, bass, etc., as the chassis lettering was worn off. 2. Finger jointed pine cabinet 3 Aged looking tweed covering 4. Thin style baffleboard 5. 4-P10S's from the 50's, all re-coned by Neal's 6. Sonny JR output transformer, 7. Has jacks for 2,4,8 ohms 8. Tube setup for harp with tube mods. 9. Price?~> 1,000. 10. You can contact him through E-bay or at: SONNYTO~OL.COM. If it is not up this week it will be soon. I get nothing out of this other then just passing on some info about a good amp to someone that might need one. I own one very similar and it is excellent. I have a SJ 1 and lots of assorted small to mid-sized amps, so I don't have any room for another amp. I have done lots of business with Sonny and he is always honest and his stuff is ready to play. No hidden amp tech work after you get it.Work has been done BEFORE it gets sold! Peace of mind is good thing when you spend your cash on equipment.(or anything else) I hate to think about how much business I HAVE done with him. Probably 5,000+. He didn't ask me to list this. I offered to do it when I talked to him and heard about it. My advice? Take a good look at this amp. I don't think you will be disappointed. Check out his E-bay stuff as well. I hope I don't unleash a legion of tire kickers. Be serious. Also; I believe he has a few Sonny Jr 2 amps left for sale on what may be the last run. So act now. Best Regards, Glenn
