we don't play too mutch of the musics here in the desert and if you want the very good afghan musics then you must get to the internet on http://www.radioafghanistan.com/ they have the good background and instruments like the rubab. we don't play too mutch of the harmonica here because it is to dry. very mutch like the desert you have in your california, with no cactus only little shrubbery that's not very good for hiding.
i sometimes try to plays the afghanstani musics on my high g piccolo harmonica modified by very good comrade pandit phillip isko. the music we play is sometimes very different from the west jazz becasue we don't utilize the 5th note of our scales in some folk songs. other times our musics is like what is played often on the veena.
