After seeing an ad recently by Guyatone on some of thier music gizmos, I checked out their website: http://www.guyatone.com Noticed they sell a very cool instrument cable called the Speed Cable. According to the hype it seems it's a low capcitance, high signal carrying cable similar to Monster Cable or George L. But what's cool about it is that it features a built in volume pot on one of the plugs. For those of you who use vintage Astatics with screw on 1/4" adapters, who've been leary of drilling into the shell of your vintage mike to install a volume pot, this seems to be the ticket. I have not actually seen or used one but just saw the ad for one. I plan on ordering one soon though for use on my vintage mikes. Figured I'd pass this one on to you guys.
Also, Guyatone sells a real tape echo delay device, similar to a vintage Echoplex. Looks cool, expensive, I think around $700+ (OUCH!!), but for those of you looking for that tape delay sound, might be the way to go. Also Maxon effects, which is distributed by the same company as Guyatone sells some nice analog delays, might be worth checking out.
