Subject: Daily Almanac - December 13

Matthias Hohner was born on this day in 1833. Hohner was the founding
father of the Hohner Harmonica Company and the person we all can thank for
adding mass production to the world of harmonicas. the company he started
in his kitchen has become the largest maker of harmonicas in the world.

Country music multi-instrumentalist Buck White was born on this day in 1930.
Buck counts the harmonica amongsts his many talents and has recorded dozens
of albums.

Country music star John Anderson was born on this day in 1954. Anderson has
been making records since the 1970's and like a lot of his fellow Country
artists, he plays a little harmonica.

Birthday greetings go out to Mike Easton who heads the Fathead Musical
Instrument Company. Mike was born on this day in 1957 and is a member of
Harp-L.

Finally, Birthday greetings go out to my wife, Donna, without her help, the
Encyclopedia of the Harmonica might not have happened.
