I bought two complete sets, figuring that the worst that would happen is
that I'd be out $25. I haven't had time to go through the whole batch, but
the first half-dozen I pulled out and tried are leaky and out of tune. Not
that that's a huge surprise, mind you. IMO, these are a great deal for
somebody who's interested in learning how to repair, tune and adjust
diatonic harps. I'm a little mixed on whether they're good for beginners.
I'm one of those that feels that good equipment will keep a beginner's
interest longer and when a fine harmonica can be had for $15-20, it doesn't
argue very strongly for the 99 cent special for that purpose.
