Maybe it's age related but we draw record crowds for our venue _aiming_ our music for a 40+ (to 70 or so)crowd. Material? Range of material? Venue? Here in the Comox Valley, I'd check those variable first.
Mind you--many out of town musicians tell us that our club/bar scene has a lot more live music per capita than they are used to from other areas in our province--we're on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.
